Hackathon - Smart Gujarat for New India Hackathon
To create and promote the innovation culture and develop the innovation ecosystem across affiliated colleges and universities under the Education Department of Gujarat, the Government of Gujarat organised “Smart Gujarat for New India Hackathon”.
Three teams and their mentors from FCAIT(BCA) had registered in Hackathon 2018 and qualified for Grand Finale.
The Team "Attendance SPY" gave solution of an Open-Source Android system registering student's attendance through mobiles based on their location, Wi-Fi Connectivity, and Facial Recognition.
Problem Statement: Mobile location-based student attendance system.
Mentor Name: Prof. Disha Shah
The team won the 1st prize with cash amount of Rs. 50,000 in Education department and ranked 3rd amongst 1100 teams of 16 departments with cash amount of Rs. 20,000.
GLS University also appreciated efforts of all students and gave Rs. 70000 to team Attendance Spy.
The Team “DigiMed” developed an application which collaborates Aadhar Card and hospitals and let's patient enroll in hospital via QR code to fix appointment with doctors, save prescriptions and bills.
Problem Statement: Application to Maintain Patient Complete Details (Profile, Diagnosis, Lab Report, scan, etc.)
Mentor Name: Prof. Vidhi Thakkar
The team won 1st prize with cash amount of Rs. 50,000 in Health & Family Welfare Department.
GLS University also appreciated efforts of all students and gave Rs. 50000 to team Digimed.
